Meantime…I was an Air Force brat. Traveled and lived in a bunch of places all over the country. I went to college in Waco Texas.  I snooped around the college radio station in my second week and was on the air a few days later. I’m not gonna tell ya how many years ago that was.  I ended up being the student manager for that station my junior and senior years while also working at several of the local stations. I still wonder how I graduated.

The radio trail… years on the air in the smaller towns like Bryan Texas (any Aggies out there?), Pensacola, Myrtle Beach, Missoula Montana. The bigger places too ..afternoons in Houston and Toledo, mid-days in Atlanta,  mornings in San Francisco and Dallas.  I’ll take life in the smaller places. I love Bowling Green!

I’m just passed my 35th wedding anniversary. My wife tells me she likes Bowling Green too much to leave it. You may run into her at yard sales and antique shops.  We have 3 kids.  I also get to share my house with three very vocal dogs.  I have two Chi weenies. They’re half miniature Dachshund, half Chihuahua, and the size of a large hamster. I’m told they’re great watch dogs. If a burglar ever came to the house I think that is about all they would do.  Besides bark. At least I don’t have big dog food bills…except for Max the Australian Shepherd.

Hobbies? Well there’s radio. It’s not just a job.  There’s golf (thank goodness I don’t have to depend on those skills to feed my family). There’s fishing (same also applies). Mostly there’s time with family and making new friends at church as well as elsewhere in the community.
