  • Bowling Green’s Third Annual Over the Edge event is September 11-12, 2020 at Stadium Park Plaza in support of the Child Advocacy Center. People will be rappelling Stadium Park Plaza to raise funds and awareness for children who have been sexually abused.  This year they will also offer a Livestream of the event so that family and friends can watch wherever they are. Individual rappelers or “Edgers” as they are called commit to raising $1,000 for the Child Advocacy Center to secure their rappelling position. To register or learn more, visit www.bracac.org. Only 92 spaces are available and 49 of those are already taken!

 

  • The Mary Wood Weldon Memorial Library has reopened with a limited capacity of 33% and limited hours from 11:00-4:00 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, and 11:00-7:00 on Thursdays.. They continue to offer drive-thru services, as well as our abundance of online services and programming. They ask that all returns be made through the book drop so that we can properly quarantine items for 72 hours.

 

  • The Carol Bailey Memorial Community Medical Care 17th Annual Golf Tournament is Wednesday, July 22 beginning at 8:30AM at the Fox Hollow Golf Club. Entries fee is $50 per person which includes green fees, cart fees and lunch. This is the main fundraiser for Community Medical Care. Field is limited to 96 golfers and entries must be in by noon Thursday, July 16. For more information call Jannell Pedigo at 629-1004 or Matt Shipley at 678-7277.

 

  • The 28th Annual Glasgow/ Barren County Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament will be held on Friday, September 1 at Barren River State Park. You must register by August 28. For more information call the Chamber at 651-3161 or Ernie at 579-1724.
